Diversity

Equality, promotion of women and family friendliness are very important at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The Gender Equality Office is responsible for the practical implementation of the diversity policies.

Responsibilities of the Gender Equality Office:

  • to support the department's women's representatives
  • concept, planning, co-ordination and organization of activities
  • provision of advice, supervision and support for the department's students and staff
  • advice regarding departmental politics and the supervision of processes and structures
  • monitoring, evaluation and reporting on diversity measures
  • press and public relations regarding gender and diversity
  • participation in the TUM Equality Conference
